Swine Track Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Swine Track is a pig farm management service made up of a mobile app for Android and iOS and a web app. It lets farmers record their herd, breeding and health events, feed stock, feeding, and income and expenses, and see reports about their farm.

In this policy, "Swine Track", "we", "us" and "our" mean the developer of Swine Track, who can be reached at protendai@gmail.com. "You" means anyone who uses the app or the web app.

2. Information we collect

Account information

• Name and email address, which you give us when you register.
• Password, if you register with an email and password. We store only a secure one-way hash of it, never the password itself.
• Farm name and currency, which you choose when you set up your farm.
• Email verification codes, short-lived six-digit codes we email to you to confirm your address.

Sign in with Google or Apple

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, the sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We receive your name, email address and a Firebase user ID so we can recognise your account. We never see or store your Google or Apple password. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we receive the private relay address Apple gives us instead of your real one.

Farm records you enter

This is the information you choose to record in Swine Track, which may include:

• Pig details such as tag numbers, names, breed, group, gender, dates of birth and entry, weights, parentage, stage, status and notes.
• Pig photos you take or upload.
• Events such as breeding, births, vaccinations, treatments, weighings, sales, deaths and other notes.
• Feed types, feed stock levels, costs and feeding records.
• Financial transactions such as income and expenses, amounts, categories, dates and descriptions.
• Spreadsheets you upload for bulk import. We read them to create the records they contain.

Your farm records belong to you. We use them only to provide the service to you.

Device and technical information

• Push notification token and platform (Android or iOS), if you allow notifications, so we can send farm reminders to your device.
• IP address and browser information when you use the web app, which are kept with your login session for security.
• Server logs, which record requests and errors so we can keep the service running and fix problems.

What we do not collect

Swine Track does not collect your precise or approximate location, your contacts, your advertising ID, or your browsing activity in other apps or websites. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.

3. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, and to sign you in.
• To store, display and calculate your farm records, reports, charts and exports.
• To send you service emails, such as verification codes.
• To send you farm reminders, such as upcoming farrowings, weaning, pregnancy checks and low feed stock, if you allow notifications.
• To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and diagnose and fix problems.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it or rent it to anyone.

4. Device permissions

The mobile app asks for these permissions only when you use a feature that needs them. You can refuse or withdraw them in your device settings, and the rest of the app keeps working.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Swine Track. They process information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.

6. When we share information

We share your information only:

• With the service providers listed above, to run Swine Track.
• When you choose to share it yourself, for example by exporting a PDF report and sending it to someone.
• When required by law, such as to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or others.
• As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the service, in which case we will tell you before your information is moved and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Storage and security

• All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS.
• Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
• On your phone, your sign-in token is kept in the device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).
• Each farm's records are kept separate, and other users cannot see your farm's data.
• Access to our servers is restricted to the developer.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach that affects you where the law requires it.

8. How long we keep it

• Account and farm records are kept while your account exists.
• Pigs you delete go to the Trash first, so you can restore them. They stay there until you delete them permanently or your account is deleted.
• Email verification codes expire after 15 minutes.
• Push notification tokens are removed when you sign out, or when Firebase tells us a token is no longer valid.
• Server logs are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the service.

When your account is deleted, we delete your account and farm records from our live systems. Copies in backups are removed as those backups are replaced in the normal course of operation.

9. Your rights and account deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your account and its data;
• receive a copy of your data;
• object to or restrict certain processing; and
• complain to your local data protection authority.

You can view and edit most of your information directly in the app, and you can export your records as PDF reports.

How to delete your account

Email protendai@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my Swine Track account". We will confirm the request and delete your account, your farm and all of its records (pigs, photos, events, feeds, feeding records and transactions) within 30 days. Deletion cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first.

For any other request about your data, email the same address. We will reply within 30 days.

10. Children

Swine Track is a tool for farmers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located in a different country from you. When your information is transferred across borders, we rely on our providers' safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Swine Track changes. We will change the effective date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
