Blockxie ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Blockxie mobile puzzle game handles your information.
1. Information We Collect
Blockxie collects minimal information to support gameplay features. We collect the following:
- Player name — the display name you choose when you first open the app. Stored locally on your device and in Firebase Firestore for the leaderboard.
- Player ID — a randomly generated identifier created on your device. Used to identify your leaderboard entry. No email, phone number, or password is required.
- High scores & game statistics — your best score, games played, lines cleared, and other gameplay stats are stored locally and synced to Firestore for leaderboard rankings.
- Weekly scores — your best score each week is stored in Firestore for the weekly leaderboard.
Local preferences (sound, haptics, theme, game state, achievements, XP, score history) are stored on your device using SharedPreferences and are never transmitted to any server.
2. How the App Works
Blockxie is a casual puzzle game where you drag block pieces onto a 9×9 grid and clear rows, columns, and 3×3 boxes. The game is primarily offline. An internet connection is only used for leaderboard syncing and serving advertisements.
3. Firebase Services Used
- Cloud Firestore — stores player profiles (name + ID), all-time leaderboard scores, and weekly leaderboard scores.
4. Advertising
Blockxie uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device information such as advertising ID, device type, and general location to serve relevant ads. You can learn more about Google's data practices at Google Privacy Policy.
The app offers an optional one-time "Remove Ads" in-app purchase. Once purchased, no further advertisements are shown and no ad-related data is collected.
5. In-App Purchases
Blockxie offers a "Remove Ads" in-app purchase processed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. All transactions are handled by the respective platform.
6. Local Notifications
Blockxie may send local push notifications to remind you to play if you haven't opened the app in 24 hours. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
7. Data Security
All data transmitted between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit using TLS. Firestore security rules restrict access so that players can only update their own leaderboard entries. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Firebase data (leaderboard entries) persists until you request deletion.
8. Children's Privacy
Blockxie does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require any personally identifiable information to play. The game content is suitable for all ages.
9. Data Retention & Deletion
Leaderboard data is retained as long as your player ID exists. Local data is deleted when you uninstall the app. To request deletion of your leaderboard data from our servers, contact us at the email below.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app's functionality changes. Any updates will be reflected in the app store listing or within the app.
